Ryan started cycling at the age of 13, initially riding mountain bikes, but quickly found his place on the road. Ryan began his racing career in time trials at the age of 15 and entered the world of road and criterium racing shortly after. As a junior, Ryan raced extensively competing at Welsh national level.
Ryan fell in love with the world of cycling and began working within the cycling industry for several years, before deciding to pursue a career in the Royal Air Force.
It was as a senior that he made his break.
After purchasing a power meter, Ryan set out to understand the data and how to get the most out of his body. In the following years, Ryan achieved countless victories in time trials, criteriums, road races and even the odd cyclocross race.
In 2019, Ryan's cycling career ended when he was diagnosed with an underlying heart condition that prevented him from ever riding again. Unwilling to leave his passion behind, Ryan chose to apply his extensive knowledge and analytical mind to coaching. And while he can no longer compete, he is driven to help people get the best results they can.
Ryan formally launched Ryan Morley Coaching in June 2019. Over the first 12 months, Ryan Morley Coaching grew at a rapid rate. Ryan continued to push the boundaries of what his athletes thought they could achieve, taking every single one of them to new strengths.
Not one to rest on his laurels, Ryan continued to further his knowledge by diving into the world of Bike Fitting.
Quickly achieving both ISCO Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications and being chosen to become part of the GebioMized network.
Ryan has become the best bike fitter in North Wales (and probably even further afield).
Fast Forward to 2023, and after several years of development and honing his craft, Ryan took the plunge and launched the Ryan Morley Cycle Centre. A truly independent bike fit, and performance cycling centre located in Wrexham, North Wales.
A unique setup offering unbiased advice on all things cycling, focusing on the individual athlete; whether they are new to the sport or a seasoned pro, the Ryan Morley Cycle Centre is home to all those that enjoy time on two wheels.
Adam is a dedicated cycling coach and motivated athlete. Growing up in North Wales, Adam's journey into cycling began six years ago. Keen to challenge himself, he took his first step into racing at the local cyclocross league. Since then, he has developed and pushed himself to race nationally, competing across road, criterium racing, cross-country mountain bike, and cyclocross. With his continued development, who knows where he may end up.
Outside of training and racing, Adam is currently studying a master's degree in product design engineering at Loughborough University, as he looks to pursue a career in sports engineering. Alongside this, his deep passion lies in sports science and physiology, which has grown during his time at Loughborough, where he has been constantly surrounded by high level performance. This inspired Adam to be involved in many leading research projects looking to truly understand the metrics that underpin an athletes’ physiology and performance, and how different training methodologies can be utilised.
Adam started coaching as a coach for the Loughborough University development cycling squad, and after successfully coaching several university cyclists, he is ready to expand his coaching network under the RMCC banner. Adam brings his experience, academic insights, and understanding of cycling's intricacies to guide aspiring riders towards their goals. His coaching journey is diverse – working with athletes at various levels, from those taking on their first race to those with aims of competing nationally.
What sets Adam apart is his unique ability to bridge the gap between his engineering education and cycle coaching. Drawing on his engineering insights, he approaches coaching with a methodological and analytical mindset, finding innovative ways to optimise training techniques and enhance performance. He ensures that no stone is left unturned to allow his athletes to reach their full potential and goals, no matter how big or small.
